ESPN Expected to Have Massive Layoffs After Thanksgiving – Is Jemele Hill on the Chopping Block?

It turns out that being social justice warriors crying about racism while reporting on black athletes who make millions a year for throwing a ball around isn’t good for business.

ESPN is expected to announce a massive layoff after Thanksgiving after losing thousands of customers a day for an extended period of time. This layoff will include on-air personalities which has people asking if Jemele Hill may be on the chopping block.

ESPN hemorrhaged subscribers in October at 15,000 a day totaling 480,000 for the month. Breitbart reported:

No doubt, there are many frowns being worn on the faces of ESPN executives after reviewing the October Cable Coverage Estimates. ESPN lost over 15,000 subscribers for every day ending in “y,” during the month of October.

Sports Illustrated reported ESPN will have a massive layoff after Thanksgiving which will include front facing talent on the television side:

ESPN will lay off more than 100 staffers after the Thanksgiving holidays, multiple sources tell Sports Illustrated. The layoffs, which were described by a person briefed on the plans, will hit positions across ESPN including front-facing talent on the television side, producers, executives, and digital and technology staffers. The SportsCenter franchise is expected to be hit hard—including on-air people—given the frequency of the show has lessened considerably on main network ESPN.

Multiple ESPN employees in speaking with SI said the atmosphere in Bristol is tense, especially in the SportsCenter division. Asked to characterize how employees are feeling, one longtime on-air anchor offered one word: “Queasy.”

As previously reported, ESPN pundit, Jemele Hill was so upset that Jerry Jones warned Cowboys players to stand for the Anthem that she called for people to boycott his advertisers.

Jemele Hill took to her Twitter account in early October to tell people to boycott Jerry Jones’ advertisers. How long is ESPN going to put up with this woman? She also called POTUS a white supremacist and only got a slap on the wrist for her statement.

Hill was subsequently suspended by ESPN for two weeks following her call for people to boycott ESPN’s advertisers.

Jemele Hill is loathed by many Americans. ESPN had a horrible month following her hateful statements. She may be on the chopping block. If ESPN had any sense, they would get rid of her and stop the social justice warrior nonsense.

People just want commentary on sports, not left-wing drivel.
