Is Geraldo Rivera next to go down in flames in a sexual harassment death spiral?
Geraldo got blasted yesterday after he defended pervert Matt Lauer who was fired from NBC for alleged sexual misconduct.
Rivera apologized for defending Lauer then said people should only have a 5-year window to be able to file sexual harassment charges. Hmmmm….
Geraldo is sweating bullets now that women are having the courage to come forward with their stories of sexual assault.
Rivera proposed a set of rules for people who want to come forward with sexual harassment allegations and he got absolutely torched on Twitter!
#SexHarassment allegations should require: 1-made in a timely fashion-say w/n 5 yrs. 2-some contemporaneous corroboration, like witnesses, electronic or written communications. W $ settlements in multi-millions slight chance exists some victims are motivated by more than justice,” Geraldo nervously tweeted.

Of course people are innocent until proven guilty and accusers should provide evidence to support their claims but Geraldo missed the point.
Many women who are sexually assaulted by powerful men in the workplace are afraid of losing their jobs and keep the assault to themselves for years. This vicious cycle has created hostile environments for women.
In many cases even when the women reported the assaults, they were ignored.
Geraldo then walked back his statement..
Reaction to my tweets today on #sexharassment makes clear
I didn’t sufficiently explain that this is a horrendous problem
long hidden-Harassers are deviants who deserve what is coming
to them-Often victims are too frightened to come
forward in a timely fashion-I humbly apologize— Geraldo Rivera (@GeraldoRivera) November 30, 2017
Geraldo got torched…
fuck off Geraldo and tell it to Bette Midler you predatory shitgibbon.

So now the question is, what happened just over 5 years ago?

Saying this indicates that you have absolutely no concept of how sexual harassment in the workplace works. Please educate yourself. People listen to you – you need to understand what you’re talking about.

Sounds like a map of how to avoid charges

Wonder what he’s hiding?

Have a feeling you’re just saying this because that clip of Bette Midler saying you drugged and sexually assaulted her back in the day is going viral.

This is so tone deaf. @yashar repeatedly talks about this – people are MORTIFIED about coming forward due to the power these people have had for decades. It sounds like you’d fit in great with Congress when the passed the idiotic harassment structure

I don’t know what it is, but something tells me that you are going to be the next one to be exposed for sexual harassment…

Bette Midler blasted Geraldo Rivera Thursday by tweeting, “Tomorrow is my birthday. I feel like this video was a gift from the universe to me. Geraldo may have apologized for his tweets supporting Matt Lauer, but he has yet to apologize for this. #MeToo”
Midler told Barbara Walters in a 1991 interview that she was manhandled by Geraldo and his producer in a bathroom.
