CIA Director Mike Pompeo: Trump Tweets Actually Help Intelligence Community

On Saturday, CIA Director Mike Pompeo said that President Trump’s Twitter feed has actually helped the CIA gather and understand intelligence.

As The Hill reported, when Pompeo was asked by Fox News’ Bret Baier whether Trump’s love for Twitter has made work harder for the CIA, Pompeo dissented, stating that the agency has gathered important intel by observing how U.S. adversaries react to the President’s tweet storms.

Pompeo said:

“I’ve actually seen it help us. I have seen things the president has put on his Twitter account actually have a real-world impact on our capacity to understand what’s going on in other places in the world. That is, our adversaries responded to those tweets in ways that were helpful to us to understand command and control issues, who’s listening to what messages, how those messages are resonating around the world.”

Notably, Trump’s Twitter has been the subject of controversy in liberal media circles ever since he took the White House in January. Recently, Trump’s Twitter use has received extra scrutiny after he retweeted three videos from a British nationalist group that showed Muslims committing acts of violence. Leftists, liberals, and others broke out in furor and outrage in response to the retweets and further called for the President to stop from tweeting or even be banned off the platform.

Trump’s Twitter use has been much chagrin to leftists but what can they claim now that it’s been revealed the President’s twitter use helps our intelligence agencies?

The next time a liberal blasts Trump for tweeting, be sure to remind them of the real-world applications of Trump’s tweeting habits!
