Obama Officials Attack Pres. Trump Over Hospital Visit to Parkland School Shooting Victims; Falsely Claim POTUS Only Spent Six Minutes With Victims

How low will Democrats and the media go to undermine President Donald Trump? A new low was set Friday night with their Lying about how much time Trump spent visiting victims of the Parkland school shooting. Trump, accompanied by First Lady Melania, spent over thirty minutes at the hospital but was falsely accused of breezing in and out in just six minutes.

Andrew Weinstein, whose Twitter bio reads, “Chair @TheDemocrats Lawyers Council. @ObamaWhiteHouse appointee. @HolocaustMuseum Council member. Trial Lawyer. Music & Hockey Fan,” posted Friday night, “Donald Trump spent a total of 6 minutes with the shooting victims.”

Weinstein was keying off a tweet by NY Times White House reporter Maggie Haberman of the pool report from Trump’s visit to Broward Health North Hospital.

Current Obama worker Paulette Aniskoff, whose Twitter bio reads, “Mom. Optimist. Organizer. Founder of Citizen 44. Obama White House & ’08 campaign alum,” replied to Weinstein, “Hardest part of the job has to be consoler in chief. Grieving with devastated families and letting them know a country mourns with them. I wasn’t expecting Amazing Grace but he gave it 6 minutes?”

Aniskoff’s tweet attacking Trump was liked and/or retweeted by several of her fellow former Obama administration officials including Anna Perng, DJ Patil, Ben Milakofsky, Clay Dumas and Melanie Fonder Kaye.

Haberman’s tweet of the pool report:

The alleged six minute time frame from Trump’s visit with victim’s is based on the pool report by The Hill’s Jordan Fabian stating that the media saw Trump at the hospital at 7:09 p.m. EST and that Trump’s motorcade departed the hospital at 7:15 p.m.

Pool was ushered into Broward Health North hospital at 6:55 PM and was positioned at the end of a long corridor with white floor tiling and off-white painted walls. The hallway was empty aside from a doctor and security personnel.

POTUS, FLOTUS, and an unnamed doctor walked down the hallway at 7:09 PM and POTUS spoke to the media for roughly a minute. (Note: pool updated later with the name of the doctor: trauma surgeon Dr. Igor Nichiporenko.)

The job theyve done is incredible and I want to congratulate you, POTUS said as he shook the doctors hand.

The president said yes I did. I did indeed when asked if he met with victims.

Its sad something like that could happen, Trump said.

He said he was impressed with the speed with which first responders reacted, calling it record-setting and in one case 20 minutes.

Its an incredible thing, POTUS said.

POTUS did not respond when asked if the nations gun laws need to be changed and then walked into another room.

Motorcade was rolling at 7:15 PM.

George Bennett with the Palm Beach Post reported Trump’s visit was over thirty minutes.

Bennett had earlier posted when Trump arrived, with a time stamp of 6:35 p.m.

Buzzfeed’s Chris Geidner later posted a timeline to correct the lies being spread about Trump’s visit, “TIMELINE, per pool: 6:32p: POTUS arrival at hospital; 6:55p: Press let in; 7:09p: POTUS et al walk into hall (where press was); 7:15p: POTUS departs hospital; 7:35p: POTUS arrival at Sheriff’s Office; 8:05p: POTUS joins roundtable (where press was); 8:15p: Press ushered out”

Think Progress’ Judd Legum deleted his tweet alleging a six minute visit by Trump.

Atlantic Senior Editor David Frum also deleted a tweet that falsely claimed a six minute visit by Trump.

As of this writing, Maggie Haberman has not posted a clarification of the time of Trump’s hospital visit.
