Corey Johnson, a 17-year-old Florida youth who converted to Islam confessed to killing a 13-year-old boy at a sleepover and attacking the host family in the name of Islam on Monday. Johnson was on the FBI’s radar screen for over a year as an ISIS sympathizer but the FBI did nothing because he was a juvenile. Johnson also stabbed the host family’s 13-year-old son 32 times as he defended his mother while she was being stabbed, according to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida police.

The Palm Beach Post reported the latest episode of the FBI allowing Muslim terrorists to kill Americans.
A week before Corey Johnson confessed to stabbing three people — one of them fatally — in a Palm Beach Gardens home, authorities were discussing pending federal criminal charges against the 17-year-old, according to a Jupiter police report.
Johnson was arrested Monday on charges of first-degree murder and attempted murder after investigators say he killed 13-year-old Jovanni Sierra and stabbed Elaine Simon, 43, and her son 13-year-old, Dane Bancroft, during a sleepover at a home in BallenIsles County Club. Johnson told police his faith is what led him to the violent acts.
But before the violent Palm Beach Gardens attack, even as early as middle school, Johnson had been on the radar of law enforcement, the report said.
In January 2017, several local law-enforcement agencies and the FBI came together with the staff at William T. Dwyer High School in Palm Beach Gardens, where he was a student at the time. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office received information Johnson supported the terrorist organization ISIS and had reached out to the group online, expressing his desire to join them.
A detective with the sheriff’s office interviewed Johnson for a mental-health assessment and said the teen sympathized with terrorist organizations, the report said.
…Initially, the FBI did not want to charge Johnson because he was a juvenile and “believed a redirection approach would be the most beneficial regarding his conduct.” So in March 2017, the FBI got consent to “mirror” Johnson’s computer activity.
Additionally, they spoke with the teen —who denied any affiliation with ISIS — and told him “to cease all social media activities related to ISIS and any other terrorist organization” and have no further contact with the Catholic high school in England, the report said.
By the summer of 2017, the FBI said Johnson was back to making more online posts and that they were working to bring official charges against him, according to the police report.
In February, the FBI said they had all the evidence they needed and that an assistant U.S. attorney said that there was probable cause to charge Johnson.
On March 5, Jupiter police checked in with the FBI to see where they were with the federal charges and the agent said the affidavits would be “coming in the next several weeks.”

This was a horrifically blood-thirsty attack. Johnson killed the visiting boy in his sleep, then attacked the host mother and her son as they attempted to stop the attack.

Police said officers arrived at the home and found Elaine Simon and her 13-year-old son, Dane Bancroft, suffering from stab wounds. They were taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach to be treated for their injuries.
Officers then found Jovanni Brand dead on the floor in an upstairs loft. It was his 13th birthday.
According to a police report, Johnson was spending the night at the home of a friend, while Brand was spending the night there as a guest of the friend’s older brother.
“Elaine heard what she believed to be Jovanni moaning and went upstairs to see what was going on,” Officer Jennifer Brashear wrote in the probable cause affidavit. “As she got to the top of the stairs, Johnson lunged at her with a knife, cutting her multiple times.”
Simon told police that Dane ran toward Johnson “to protect his mother and Johnson then began to stab Dane.”
Police said Simon’s other son, Kyle Bancroft, 15, wasn’t hurt.
During an interview with detectives, Johnson said he bought the knife Sunday and brought it with him to the sleepover.
“Johnson advised at 4 a.m. he realized that everyone in the house was asleep,” the affidavit said. “At that time, Johnson made the decision to kill Elaine, Dane and Jovanni in their sleep.”
Police said Johnson went to the loft where Jovanni was sleeping, stabbed him multiple times and cut his throat.
“In his statement, Johnson advised he stabbed the victims because of his Muslim faith,” Brashear wrote in the affidavit.”

Dane Bancroft may only be 13 years old, but his father says the boy is a “hero.”
Dane, a student at Watson B. Duncan Middle School in Palm Beach Gardens, interrupted a knife attack at his home at BallenIsles Country Club early Monday that left another boy dead and Dane’s mother, Elaine M. Simon, hospitalized with stab wounds.
Dane was also left seriously wounded after being stabbed 32 times during the attack, according to Palm Beach Gardens police.
Lucas Bancroft, Dane’s father, said his son had a kidney removed, sustained liver damage and has undergone two surgeries since he was taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center, but is expected to recover.
“He’s a hero,” Bancroft said during a phone interview. “He saved his mom.”
…Jovanni Sierra, a 13-year-old friend of Dane’s who was spending the night, was allegedly killed by Johnson.
Johnson was on top of Simon stabbing down at her and “trying to end her life” when Dane pushed him off, his father said.
Dane and Johnson engaged in a “brutal fight” that allowed Simon to run to a neighbor’s house and call police.
After pulling away from Johnson, Dane went out a second-story window, then scaled down about 12 feet to ground level, his father said.”
