There was a shooting this morning at Great Mills High school in Maryland.
The school says the situation is contained.

NBC Washington reported multiple injuries, but that was not immediately confirmed by authorities.
There has been a Shooting at Great Mills High School. The school is on lock down the event is contained, the Sheriff's office is on the scene additional information to follow.

The use of a weapon in a school zone or use or possession of a weapon on school grounds is punishable by up to five years in prison in Maryland.

UPDATE— A male student shot two other students at Great Mills High School in Maryland on Tuesday morning before being shot dead by an armed school resource officer.
The officer is being hailed as a hero.
