An internal investigation in Ukraine concluded that Manafort earned larger sums than he previously reported as a political consultant in the Eastern European country.

Manafort was paid at least $28.5 million, far more than the $12.5 million reported last year, from “black money” funds run by the Party of the Regions, according to a source with knowledge about the investigation. The Party of the Regions served as the pro-Kremlin political base for Ukraine’s former President Viktor Yanukovych, who fled to Russia in 2014.

It’s unknown how the above information was obtained or who provided it to the ‘Ukrainian investigation’ or to USA Today.

What is known is that the Party of Regions served as the pro-Kremlin political base for Ukraine’s former President Viktor Yanukovych, who fled to Russia in 2014.  Before he fled, and in an effort to improve his image in the Ukraine after jailing his contender, Yaukovych hired Manafort who hired the Podesta’s.

The Podesta’s and Manafort had a number of individuals in the US come to the Ukraine during their time there and hold photo ops with the Ukrainian President.   Their job was to make Yanukovytch seem like a really likable guy to the Ukrainian public, so Podesta gets Obama, Hillary Clinton, and John Kerry’s State Department to do photo ops with Yanukovytch.  Obama even went so far as to declare the Ukrainian election to be free and fair.
