WATCH: DeSantis Tells Antifa and Black Lives Matter to Stay Out of Florida or There Will Be Consequences

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is warning Black Lives Matter and Antifa to stay away from the state or “there will be consequences.”

DeSantis explained that he supports the First Amendment and peaceful protests — but will not tolerate rioters the way liberal states have.

“The minute you harm somebody else, or you harm somebody’s property, or you do these types of things, the only way we’re going to stop it is to have very swift penalties for it,” DeSantis stated during a press conference.

DeSantis discussed how the police were being treated horribly, including having bricks thrown at them.

“You’ve seen in some of these cities, whenever there’s a little bit of unrest, literally there will be a U-Haul that just gets left there and there’s all this stuff in the back of it for these people to do all this stuff,” DeSantis said, referencing instances in which trucks of riot supplies were brought to protest areas.

The governor added that “we don’t want that coming to Florida. There’s a lot of places around this country that have not stood by law enforcement… and the tragedy of it is that you’re seeing crime spike in certain parts of our country like we haven’t seen in decades.”

DeSantis went on to explain that without public safety and order, you will see societal collapse.

“If you’re in Portland and think you can come down to Florida and do this — stay out of our state. We don’t want you coming down here and causing problems,” he said. DeSantis went on to explain that if people do come riot, there will be “swift and severe” consequences.

Earlier this week, DeSantis announced $1,000 bonuses for law enforcement officials in his state.

DeSantis said that “some want to defund the police. We’re funding the police… and then some.”

The bonuses will be given to all police officers, firefighters and first responders in the state, he announced on Wednesday during a press conference.
