And guess who is to blame?
Hint: It’s not the terrorists!
It’s taken nearly four years since the 9-11 tragedy but, better late than never, the Left has finally put together a half-hearted attempt to appear interested in protecting America. Since they saw that the “Global Option” did not resonate with any American who was paying attention to the Presidential Election, one brave Liberal has brainstormed some ideas on how liberals can best stop the threat of Islamic terrorism.
This week author Robert Pape was quoted in the St. Louis Post Dispatch:
Political scientist Robert A. Pape of the University of Chicago goes further. His new book, “Dying to Win: The Strategic Logic of Suicide Terrorism,” reports the results of the first systematic survey, funded in part by the Department of Defense, of all 315 suicide terrorist attacks that occurred between 1980 and 2003.
His conclusions:
Religion is often used as a tool for recruiting by terrorist organizations but is rarely the root cause of terrorism.
The overwhelming majority of suicide terrorist acts are not expressions of blind hate but instead the manifestation of political objectives, most often the expulsion of foreign armies of occupation.
The U.S. military presence in Saudi Arabia and other Persian Gulf states was the most important factor spawning the 9/11 attacks.
The “sustained presence of heavy American combat forces in Muslim countries,” including Iraq, “is likely to increase the odds of the next 9/11.”
Pape said in an interview that he fully supported the Afghanistan invasion, an operation that he said was properly focused on rooting out al-Qaida. “But all the gains we made in Afghanistan we lost in Iraq,” he said. “The deployment of 140,000 U.S. troops there has given a new lease on life to anti-American suicide terrorism.”
And perhaps, as well, to terrorist attacks like that in London, aimed at U.S. allies.

Did you catch that? Pape is saying that it is America’s fault for the suicide bombers in the Middle East!
Yep! If we didn’t have those bases that we “forced” on those Arab countries in the Middle East Region “without their approval or payment” then we would not have suicide terrorism!
And, by golly, the fact that we “occupiers” are in Iraq is just going to increase the chances of more suicide bombings.
And religion is not the root cause… It’s not that the terrorists hear this crap about the US night after night for years at their local mosque, (it could just as easily be Mormons packing ball bearings and nails in their back packs!) it is a political objective!
Sad, that some bimbos will take this man seriously!

Pape said on “The O’Reilly Factor” that there are no suicide bombers in Iran. I wish Bill would have shown him this Suicide Bomber Graduation picture held south of Tehran.
That may have opened Pape’s eyes a bit! Last I checked we don’t have any bases in the Mullacracy!
But, then, Pape would have to figure out another way it is our fault.
It looks like it’s back to the drawing boards for the Liberals! I am sure they can come up with another way terrorism is our fault without too much trouble! They always have in the past!
