VelvetRevolution.us, a network of more than 120 progressive organizations seeking honest government, just launched the ’Government Accountability Reward Fund’ to induce whistleblowers to come forward with information about criminal activity by high government officials. Specifically, VR has a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of officials involved in the following three incidents: 1) the illegal outing of CIA Agent Valerie Plame, 2) the illegal payment of bribes to Congressman Dennis Hastert, and 3) the rigging of the 2004 Presidential election in Ohio.
Hmm. Didn’t George Bush win Ohio by, oh, 118,599 votes, or so?
I will give someone $100 K if they can find enough vote rigging to switch those results!
It is more likely that an investigation would only bring up voter fraud charges and convictions like here and here. Do you think this Leftist Network of 120 Progressive Organizations really wants that?
Update: This story reminds me of a similar situation in Chicago this year. But that story got more press.
