Here's the Black Republican Radio Ad Democrats Want Banned

The National Black Republican Association has democrats fuming with their new radio ad!
The ad is forcing democrats to court the minority vote outside of the typical three week window.

The pictures of Black Republican candidates I added. This ad was not endorsed by any of these candidates.
Democrats are outraged with the ad that claims the democratic party created the Ku Klux Klan:

A national black Republican group is running a radio advertisement accusing Democrats of starting the Ku Klux Klan and saying the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. was a Republican, a claim challenged by civil-rights researchers.

Lt. Gov. Michael Steele, the black Republican nominee for Maryland’s open Senate seat, disavowed the ad Thursday as “insulting to Marylanders”. He said his campaign asked the Washington-based National Black Republican Association to stop running it.

In the ad, the woman goes on to say, “Democrats passed those black codes and Jim Crow laws. Democrats started the Ku Klux Klan.” Her companion replies, “The Klan? White hoods and sheets?”

The KKK, never a political party, was a racist group of white men that started in the South after the Civil War, when Republicans were almost unheard of in former Confederate states. The mainstream Democratic Party never endorsed the Klan nor claimed to have founded it.

Senator Robert Byrd was not asked to give the democratic response to this ad.

There were 16 black Republican candidates who ran for office in Georgia in 2004, a record.

A Black Republican dot com describes this new development in black politics.

Author Star Parker has a great article linked to at the NBRA website titled:
“Katrina, Lies and Videotape”

Meanwhile, via Bizzyblog, the mainstream news is doing its best to bring down Republican Senatorial Candidate Michael Steele.

Mike McConnell sends news of a new book by Black Conservative Wayne Perrryman.
Check it out!

And… Mike McConnell also sends this damning update on a report by Black Republican Perryman:

As part of that past, Perryman likened the white-supremacist Ku Klux Klan as the “terrorist arm of the Democratic Party” and compared the KKK to the militant Muslim groups al Qaida and the Taliban in terms of using violence to accomplish its goals in intimidating, beating and killing blacks at the voting polls.

“So when they talk about Trent Lott and the chads (in the 2000 presidential election in Florida), there’s absolutely no comparison to what the Democrats did,” he said. “Yes, Trent Lott made a very stupid, ill-advised statement. But he has never been responsible for the number of murders the Democrats and their terrorist supporters have caused and brought about on the African American community.”

No wonder democrats want that ad banned from the airwaves!
