Iranian Bazteb News says a senior PKK terrorist was killed in the attacks in a slightly different version of the story:

A senior PKK terrorist commander was killed by IRGC forces in the northwestern city of Orumiyeh on Monday.

In continuation of a series of military operations recently carried out in Orumiyeh, West Azarbaijan province, by the Islamic Revolutionary Gurads Corps (IRGC) forces, to wipe out the separatist terrorists in the northwestern region of the country, a leading commander of the separatist Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) known as Dr. Afagh and two other terrorists were killed and several others were injured, BAZTAB reported from Orumiyeh.

Afagh, one of the three top PKK commanders in Iran, was active in several Iranian northwestern cities who is said to be responsible for the killings of the innocent civilians and Iranian military officers in the area.

And, Iranian Revolutionary Guards Brigadier General Yahya Rahim Safavi spoke more on the fighting in Orumiyeh this week after attending the funeral of the martyrs who were killed on Sunday.
The Iranian News reported:

Revolutionaries are under siege on the Iran-Turkey border, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Brigadier General Yahya Rahim Safavi (on left) said on Wednesday.

He told reporters after taking part in the funeral service for the victims of the helicopter crash in Khoy, West Azarbaijan province that following an order to crack down on counter-revolutionaries, several of them were surrounded by security forces and they have no other choice but to surrender.

“The grip of the siege on the area is getting closer. The bandits and counter-revolutionaries should know that Iranian troops will deal with them strongly and will not stop the operation to uproot them,” the IRGC commander said.

He said that some 13 personnel of the IRGC and the Army of the Islamic Republic were martyred in the helicopter crash earlier this week.
