Iranian News: British Pilots Are Considering Suicide Missions

Kamikazes for the Queen…

Iranian News is reporting today that the British air forces are considering sending their airmen on suicide missions:

A senior air force controller has suggested that British aircrew should consider suicide missions against terrorist targets as a last resort, it was reported Tuesday.

Air Vice Marshal David Walker proposed carrying out ‘kamikaze- style’ attacks that were flown by desperate Japanese pilots in World War Two, as a “worst case scenario” should crews run out of ammunition or their weapons fail, according to the Sun newspaper.

“Would you think it unreasonable if I ordered you to fly your aircraft into the ground in order to destroy a vehicle carrying a Taliban or al-Qaeda commander?” Walker was said to have asked pilots attending a conference on Monday.

Such an order would mean certain death for a pilot who cost Pnds 6 million (Dlrs 11 m) to train – and the loss of a jet, costing Pnds 50m, the daily said.

Maybe they could take out an Iranian suicide bomber bus, or two, while they are at it.
