Sean McQuade, the last of the Virginia Tech shooting victims to remain hospitalized, has been discharged.
Asbury Park Press reported this good news tonight:

A student who was shot in the face during last month’s rampage at Virginia Tech has left the hospital, a spokesman said today.

Sean McQuade, 22, will continue treatment closer to his hometown of Mullica Hill, N.J. He may need more surgery to repair nerve damage that is causing him facial paralysis, according to his mother’s account of his recovery on a Web site.

Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital spokesman Eric Earnhart confirmed McQuade has been discharged, but he cited privacy laws in not disclosing when or any other details.

McQuade graduated from Virginia Tech this month with a math degree. Three of his professors visited him at the hospital May 14 to give him his diploma, wrote his mother, Jody McQuade.
