Iranian Revolutionary Guard Leader Praises Iraqi Insurgents

Iran comes clean…
Kamangir catches the latest from the new leader of the Iranian Revolution’s Guard Corp:

The newly-assigned commander of the IRGC stated, “If the enemy succeeded in securing Iraq, they would definitely attack Iran. Fortunately, and thanks to Muslims of the region, they failed in this conspiracy.” He added “If they are not sure about their plans, that’s because of their failure in Iraq”. “The Islamic Iran has turned into a great regional power…and all world powers are anxious about the power of the Islamic Republic of Iran”, he concluded [Persian].

Also, today Iranian Ayatollah Seyed Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi (pictured-second from right) announced that the role of the Iranian Guards Corp has been to “export the Islamic Revolution to the region.”
Fars News reported:

Iran’s Judiciary chief said arrogant powers’ animosity towards the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) has resulted from the latter’s outstanding role in exporting revolution and bringing a major change to the movements of Islamic nations.

Addressing senior officials of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps here on Monday, Ayatollah Seyed Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi underlined the valuable and effective stand of the IRGC, and reminded, “Before being a military force for the Islamic Republic, the IRGC is a force serving the Islamic Revolution.”

He further viewed protection of the values and high goals and ideals of the revolution in the region and the entire world as the main mission of the IRGC.
