President Bush: "We Are Succeeding in Iraq! We Will Succeed!!"
“WE ARE SUCCEEDING!”
You may have missed that news yesterday…
NOT ONE media outlet felt like this was newsworthy.
And,President Bush also got a standing ovation!… Imagine?
And, the crowd on the White House lawn started chanting, “USA!… USA!…USA!…”
Here’s the video:
Here is the president’s speech since you most definitely missed it:
PRESIDENT BUSH: …The Commander-in-Chief takes seriously the recommendations of our military commanders. General Petraeus came back to the United States to deliver the recommendations he made to me. Inherent in his recommendations is, one, his belief we’re succeeding, his belief we will succeed, and I ask the United States Congress to support the troop levels and the strategies I have embraced. (Applause.)
AUDIENCE: USA! USA! USA!
Standing with Mrs. Laura Bush, President George W. Bush addresses military support organizations Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007, on the South Lawn. “Laura and I welcome the families who have got a loved one overseas, whether it be in Iraq or Afghanistan, fighting these extremists and terrorists,” said President Bush. “The best way to honor your loved one is to make sure that he or she has the full support of the United States government as you accomplish the mission that we have set.” (White House photo by David Bohrer)
The president also spent some time with military families on the White House lawn:

You’d think the fact that the president announced that we are winning the war in Iraq would make some headlines?
Not, with today’s media.
In related news… Michael Totten reports that the hell is over in Anbar Province and adds this on the work of the American soldiers there:
“We hand out care packages from the U.S. to Iraqis now that the area has been cleared of terrorists,” one Marine told me. “When we tell them that some of these packages aren’t from the military or the government, that they were donated by average American citizens in places like Kansas, people choke up and sometimes even cry. They just can’t comprehend it. It is so different from the lies they were told about us and how we’re supposed to be evil.”
His report on the progress in Anbar is amazing.
Shame on the American media for not reporting this great news!
UPDATE: The Jawa Report reports “It’s over!”
