The US military is on track to see the lowest number of monthly fatalities in Iraq since the war began in March, 2003.

The US has lost 10 members so far this month. That puts the monthly average at .67 daily fatalities.

The lowest number of monthly fatalities in Iraq occurred back in February, 2004 when 20 military members were lost in Iraq. The monthly average daily fatalities was .69 that month.
