Busted!
David Kernell, the son of liberal Tennessee State Representative Mike Kernell was indicted this morning.
Knox News reported:
David C. Kernell, 20, was indicted by a federal grand jury in Knoxville, Tennessee., for intentionally accessing without authorization the e-mail account of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.
Kernell is a member of the UT for Barack Obama organization.
He lists it on his Facebook account:

He also describes himself as an Obamacrat on his facebook account (the account was taken down last month– Screen grab via Terry Frank).

Kernell turned himself in today.
Knox News reported:
David C. Kernell, 20, was indicted by a federal grand jury in Knoxville for intentionally accessing without authorization the e-mail account of Palin, the governor of Alaska and Sen. John McCain’s running mate, according to U.S. Attorney James R. Dedrick.
Dedrick said Kernell turned himself in to federal authorities today for arrest.
He is to be arraigned before the U.S. Magistrage Judge C. Clifford.
The single-count indictment, returned Tuesday and unsealed today, alleges that on approximately Sept. 16, 2008, Kernell, a, obtained unauthorized access to Palin’s personal e-mail account by allegedly resetting the account password…
If convicted, Kernell faces a maximum of five years in prison, a $250,000 fine and a three-year term of supervised release. A trial date has not been set.
The AP somehow forgets to mention that David is the son of state Dem Representative Mike Kernell. (They have since updated their article)
Here’s a bit of irony…
David’s father Mike Kernell, an Obama supporter, reportedly worried about someone hacking into touch screen voting systems.
