Cut-&-Run Countdown… Obama Addresses Nation on Afghan War Will Surge Troops For 18 Months

Here’s a flashback from Barack Obama from the 2008 Campaign:

“His plan comes up short. There’s not enough troops, not enough resources and not enough urgency. What President Bush and Senator McCain don’t understand is that the central front in the War on Terror is not in Iraq and never was. The central front is in Afghanistan and Pakistan where the terrorists who hit us on 9-11 are still plotting attacks seven years later.”

But that was last year when he had to sound tough.
Tonight, the Nobel Peace Prize Winner will finally offer his plan for Afghanistan after his top general asked for reinforcements 90 days ago.

US fatalities in Afghanistan have tripled under Barack Obama.

Obama announced that 30,000 more troops will go to Afghanistan and then they will come home 18 months later.
** Here is the video.

Obama mentioned the successful War in Iraq but for some strange reason he forgot to mention Bush or the fact that he was against the Bush Surge. He also forgot to thank General Petraeus, who is sitting in the audience tonight.

Obama blames former administrations for their Pakistan policies.

He just compared Afghanistan to Vietnam.
Oh brother. Obama just said he spent this year renewing our alliances.

This is strange. He’s now talking about the greatness of America.
Weird.

Oops, spoke to soon… “As a country we are not as young or innocent as we were when Roosevelt was president.”

“We are passing through a time of great trial.”
True. It’s been that way since January.

The FOX News Panel just panned the weak speech.
