Today, Barack Obama warned Americans:
“We simply cannot continue to spend as if deficits don’t have consequences. As if waste doesn’t matter. As if the hard earned tax dollars of the American people can be treated like Monopoly money.
This, of course, was the same day he proposed another record spending bill that will cost taxpayers $3.8 trillion and will raise the national deficit to $1.6 trillion. This is nearly 4 times the 2008 national deficit when President Bush was in office.
But today wasn’t the first time Obama used this line.
On December 21, 2009 he said the same thing:
“We can’t continue to spend as if deficits don’t have consequences; as if waste doesn’t matter; as if the hard-earned tax dollars of the American people can be treated like Monopoly money.”
This was the same day that democrats spent $1.2 billion to bribe fellow democrats to vote for Obamacare.
Figures.
