I attended my class reunion this weekend in Iowa. After major surgery last week I did not know if I’d be able to make it. But, I felt pretty good this past week so my brother and his wife and I made the haul back up to northern Iowa for the 30 year reunion this weekend.
Here’s a class photo we took before dinner at Willow Ridge Golf Club.

A few of the classmates had to show off their mad golf skills before dinner.
It was an impressive display of talent.
The drive through Iowa was spectacular as usual.

More… One of my favorite success stories from the weekend in northern Iowa came not from a CEO or CFO (and my graduating class produced a few of those!), it came from Mary C. Mary was a tough-talking pretty girl in high school who occasionally got herself in trouble and one time was caught smoking by Sister Catherine Ann in the girls bathroom.
Mary told me that her sons started running cross country and track years later at St. Edmond High School and became great stars on the track team. One of them placed in the top three at the state meet and they both went on to run cross country in college I believe. Mary told me that because of them she stopped smoking. She started her nicotine habit when she was 14. Now, Mary too is out running the hills and trails in Iowa.
Congratulations Mary!
