CNN’s Anderson Cooper Punched 10 Times in the Head at Cairo Protests …Update: Aljazeera Reporter Stabbed

Of course, the state-run media is blaming this on Mubarak supporters(?)

Anderson Cooper was punched by the mob at Tahrir Square today.

The CNN reporter had to flee the mob at Tahrir Square.
Via The Hollywood Reporter:

CNN producer Steve Brusk Tweeted, “Anderson said he was punched 10 times in the head as pro-Mubarak mob surrounded him and his crew trying to cover demonstration.”

Cooper then escaped to the roof of a nearby building, where he said on air: “We were in a crowd and we were just set upon.”

Cooper told CNN’s live blog that the attackers “pushed and shoved the CNN crew and punched them in the head… but no one was seriously hurt.”

UPDATE: An Aljazeera reporter was reportedly stabbed on the square today.
