Afghan Authorities Claim Pakistan Is Harboring Mullah Omar

Afgahan authorities told reporters recently that Pakitan was hiding Taliban Leader Mullah Omar.
Iranian Fars News reported:

Spokesman for Afghanistan’s National Security Lotfollah Mashal dismissed reports about the presence of the Taliban leader, Mullah Mohammad Omar, in Afghanistan, and said he has been arrested or hidden by Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

“In case Mullah Omar is still alive, he has definitely been arrested or hidden by the ISI so that he will not suffer Bin Laden’s fate,” Mashal told reporters on Tuesday.

He underlined that the Taliban leader is certainly in the hands of the Pakistani authorities.

Earlier, an Afghan security official had said that the ISI of Pakistan has urged Mullah Mohammad Omar to leave the country’s soil.

“ISI has suggested Helmand province in Afghanistan for Mullah Omar’s residence,” the Afghan official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said in May.

Last year Brad Thor reported that Mullah Omar was captured in Pakistan.
It looks like Brad was onto something.
