Obama Says “Things Will Get Better” On Same Day US Credit Rating Is Downgraded

Not exactly a picture of confidence–
Barack Obama spoke today at the Washington Navy Yard at 11 AM EST.
Obama assured the world, “Things will get better.”

VOA reported:

“But what I want the American people and our partners around the world to know is this: We are going to get through this,” said Obama. “Things will get better, and we are going to get there together.”

Less than 8 hours later Standard and Poors downgraded the US credit rating from AAA to AA+.
