Iranian regime President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was the keynote speaker at the “Women and Islamic Awakening” Conference in Tehran this week.

The two-day international conference on ‘Women and Islamic Awakening’ ended work in Tehran on Thursday.
The closing ceremony of the international event was held at auditorium of Tehran’s Milad Tower, in the presence of the Supreme Leader’s Consultant in International Affairs and Secretary General of World Forum on Islamic Awakening Ali-Akbar Velayati, who gave an address, and over 500 elite female activists in various cultural and social fields.
The keynote speaker at the opening ceremony of the event was the Islamic Republic of Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Monday at the opening ceremony of the World Assembly of Women and Islamic Awakening in presence of 1500 elite women from 180 countries including Iran the hegemonic powers are abusing human rights for their interventionist goals.
He said the hegemonic powers are deceiving the world with their false motto of defending human rights, freedom, rights of nations, prospects for better life, democracy and political and economic development which according to them will be available by bombardment and military intervention on sovereign nations.
The ladies were very excited that Ahmadinejad would speak to them about women’s issues. (ISNA)
