Eric Nordstrom, the regional security officer posted in Libya when the U.S. Embassy was reopened after the country’s 2011 civil war, teared up today during his opening statements at the Benghazi hearings. It was a very moving moment.
The whistle-blowers are under extreme pressure from the administration not to speak out on the 9-11 Benghazi massacre.
Last fall, he made headlines when he said Washington ignored calls for increased security resources for U.S. installations in Libya.
Gregory Hicks also teared up during his testimony.
It’s clear the massacre weighs heavy on their hearts.
FYI: Charles Woods, the father of Benghazi hearing Tyrone Woods, is sitting behing Mr. Hicks at the hearing.
