White House Spokesman (paid liar) Jay Carney told reporters today there was no evidence of influence outside the IRS on the behavior there.
Watch Jay Carney stammer and parse his words:
“When I spoke about the situation I was referring to the findings of the independent Inspector General… Who, let’s be clear said that he both in testimony and in his report found no evidence that outsiders, those outside the IRS, influenced the behavior that took place there.”
Those words may come back and bite Jay Carney in the tush.
For the record… Yesterday Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA), chairman of powerful House Committee of Oversight and Government Reform, told CNN’s Candy Crowley that the facts indicate that Cincinnati IRS agents were receiving orders from Washington.
