Two videos are posted at Twitchy and GSL in which Angela Giron continues to reinforce why she was recalled in a recent Colorado effort.
In an interview clip below, Giron blames the NRA for the Navy Yard shooting. Giron feels the NRA keeps trying to convince people—out of greed—that “more guns equals safety. And in this case in particular, we can look at, it was a Navy Yard. You couldn’t have any more armed people than in that case right there.”
Apparently Giron is unaware that the Navy Yard was a gun-free zone thanks to Bill Clinton. Additionally, GatewayPundit reported that the Capitol PD tactical response team was ordered to leave the scene instead of neutralize the shooter. Thus, the good guys with guns weren’t allowed to engage or shoot at the bad guy with a gun.
In a second clip below, Giron believes that background checks would have prevented Aaron Alexis from getting a gun. Uh, no Giron, it wouldn’t. USNews reported that the gunman gathered weapons along the way as he killed.

As was widely reported and tweeted Monday evening, Aaron Alexis bought his shotgun legally. By early yesterday afternoon (hours before Giron’s segment aired), various news outlets had reported that Alexis bought the firearm at Sharpshooters Small Arms Range in Lorton, Va., two days before the shooting. An attorney for the store told the media that “the store ran a federal background check on Alexis and it was approved.”
