Democrat Newark Mayor Cory Booker
The special election for US Senate in New Jersey is heating up. Representing the Democrats is Cory Booker, Mayor of Newark, NJ. Representing the Republicans is Steve Lonegan, Mayor of Bogota, NJ.
It turns out, until very recently Mayor Booker held some abandoned property in his real estate portfolio, and that property is now being used as a “crack house.” He only divested himself of the property a few months ago through slight of hand by donating it to a charity he founded.
His challenger, Mayor Lonegan, has decided to hold a press conference to highlight the situation, directly in front of the Booker crack house. (h/t Instapundit)
Newark – Mayor Steve Lonegan, the Republican candidate for the United States Senate, will hold a press conference today in front of Cory Booker’s abandoned property, now a crack house.
What: Press Conference Exposing Booker as Part of the Problem
When: Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at 2:30 p.m.
Where: 130 Court Street
Newark, NJ 07103
Perfect. We’ll try and get video if/when it becomes available, although it probably won’t be getting too much exposure from the majors.
UPDATE: Click on the image below to see pics from the press conference. There are some very dramatic images in there. Some of the local residents were very angry Lonegan was there and they weren’t shy about expressing it.
