Report: Incidents Against Religious Liberty Double in Past Year

82-year-old Emma Anderson was kicked off of On Miami’s Metrorail for singing hymns in March.
The guard accused her of “publicly singing spiritual hymns.”

A new report by Liberty Institute finds that incidents of religious bigotry have nearly doubled over the past year.
The Liberty Institute reported:

Liberty Institute has released the 2013 Edition of UNDENIABLE: The Survey of Hostility to Religion in America, a compilation of almost 1,200 documented incidents of religious bigotry that have occurred throughout the country – most in the past 10 years.

To understand the urgency to defend religious liberty, it is important to note that last year’s edition contained approximately 600 cases. In just one year, we have seen the number of attacks on religious freedom nearly double. This is something that should concern every American.
