Valerie Jarrett Lowers Bar for Obamcare Fix – Media Silent

Guest Post By Kristinn Taylor

Senior advisor to President Obama Valerie Jarrett spoke at the New York Times Dealbook conference in New York City Tuesday where she tacitly admitted the troubled Obamacare website will not be fixed by the administration’s self-imposed deadline of Nov. 30.

While answering softball questions from New York Times Washington Bureau Chief David Leonhardt about the Obamacare rollout debacle, Jarrett said the administration was now “…looking towards the end of the month to see substantial progress”

Not fixed. Just a nebulous goal of ‘substantial progress.’

The NY Times report on the interview ignored Jarrett on the website not being fixed by November 30.

The report did include this Kool-Aid chugging propaganda quote:

“There isn’t an American who isn’t going to be touched in a positive way by the Affordable Care Act,” Ms. Jarrett said. “Change is difficult. Even change for the better is difficult.”

Of course, millions of Americans have already had their lives upended by Obamacare taking away their health insurance but Jarrett didn’t mention them.

Also, the Washington Post article tonight on the likelihood of the Obamacare website not being fixed by Obama’s promised deadline doesn’t mention Jarrett’s statement.
