AZ Senators Flake and McCain Urge Gov. Brewer to Veto Religious Rights Bill

Recently, Arizona passed a law that would allow state businesses to practice their religious beliefs – even if that meant not serving a cake to a gay couple for their wedding ceremony. Similar religious protection legislation has been introduced in Ohio, Mississippi, Idaho, South Dakota, Tennessee and Oklahoma.

The two US Senators from Arizona want Gov. Jan Brewer to veto a bill that would allow business owners with strongly held religious beliefs to refuse service to gays and lesbians.

Arizona Senator Jeff Flake urged the Republican governor to veto the bill.
