FLASHBACK: Obama Blasts Bush for Katrina Flyover (Video)

It wasn’t all that long ago that then freshman Senator Barack Obama attacked George W. Bush for his flyover of New Orleans after Katrina. On February 7, 2008, while campaigning, Barack Obama took a jab at Bush:

“We can talk about what happened for two days in 2005 and we should. We can talk about levees that couldn’t hold, a FEMA that seemed not just incompetent but paralyzed and powerless, about a president who only saw the people from the window of an airplane instead of down here on the ground. Trying to provide comfort and aid.”

Today Barack Obama flew to Texas for a couple campaign dinners. He didn’t even attempt a flyover of the border to witness the humanitarian crisis he created.

On Wednesday Barack Obama said he would not visit the Texas border to witness the humanitarian crisis.
He’s not into photo-ops.
