On Thursday, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid spoke at a Las Vegas Asian Chamber of Commerce meeting. Reid decided this was a great place to try out his new Asian jokes. In the video, Reid tells the Asian audience,
“I don’t think you’re smarter than anybody else, but you’ve convinced a lot of us you are,” and before walking off the stage Reid announced, “One problem that I’ve had today is keeping my Wongs straight.”
This is not the first time Reid has made racist comments. In 2010 he apologized for his racial comments about President Obama and in 2009 Reid was forced to defend his support for African-American politicians in a testy exchange with David Gregory on “Meet the Press” after it was disclosed that he had opposed three other black potential replaces for President-elect Barack Obama.
Black DC rapper Wale called out Harry Reid for his history of racist comments referring to him as a “Sketchy Racist Hypocrite”.
