Kanye West compared his self-initiated violent confrontations with Paparazzi to the civil rights struggle of the 1960’s!

Kanye West has compared the pressures of celebrity life to the US civil rights struggle of the 1960s. Leaked excerpts from West’s sworn deposition for his paparazzi assault trial saw him claiming he and other stars need to band together in the face of press persecution.

“[Celebrities], as a group of minorities here in LA … have to band together to influence guys like this – guys trying to take the picture, guys trying to get the big win, guys trying to get the cheque,” West said in his deposition. After the rapper made a comment about sit-ins in the 1960s, he was asked whether he was equating his own paparazzi problems to the struggles of African-American civil rights campaigners. “Yes, 100%,” West is quoted as replying. “I equate it to discrimination. In other news, the oppressed Kanye West just purchased a $20 Million estate complete with a vineyard! No word yet on whether he’ll be allowed to use the same entrance to his mansion as his white wife, Kim, or if they will be allowed to drink from the same wine fountain.
