“All reporters: PLEASE DO NOT GO TO CANFIELD MEMORIAL. Was attacked and robbed at gunpoint.”
Media Alert: State trooper told me that a member of the media just had his Prius carjacked "somewhere in #Ferguson." Did not know who.

This was followed a minute later by a report by the St. Louis Post Dispatch’s Paul Hampel that another reporter was carjacked:
“Media Alert: State trooper told me that a member of the media just had his Prius carjacked “somewhere in #Ferguson.” Did not know who.”
And a foreign journalist was mugged:

On Monday night in the hours after the grand jury decided not to indict Officer Darren Wilson for the shooting death of robber Michael Brown reporters were attacked with rocks and had attempts made to steal their equipment. One activist who was live streaming the protests in Ferguson had his cellphone ripped out of his hands. The thief unwittingly live streamed his escape for several minutes including bragging to someone about the theft.
