Republican Joni Ernst SLAMS OBAMA Over Delayed Release of Sgt. Tahmooressi (Video)

Republican Ernst Slams Obama–
Republican senate candidate Joni Ernst slammed Barack Obama over his response to the imprisonment of Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi.

The US Marine sergeant was released from a Mexican jail this weekend after eight months of confinement. Tahmooressi was reportedly stripped naked, chained to a bed and beaten with a bat during his detention.

Joni Ernst, an Iraq War veteran, blasted President Obama over his hands off approach to Tahmooressi’s detention.

“I am so disappointed that we did not pursue this aggressively. He should have been released a number of months ago. This is just another case of our administration not being pro-active, being very reactive. We’ve seen that with every instance out there. Whether it comes to Ebola, whether it comes to ISIS. Whether it comes to this situation. We have an administration that’s just so hands off, disengaged. We can do better. We have to do better.”

“I am very proud of my military service and we need to take care of those folks who have served honorably. And, in this case we didn’t stand up and pursue this aggressively enough. I fault the president with that.
