A police officer was shot tonight on Canton and Lamb in University City just west of St. Louis city limits.

FOX Channel 2 said the police officer was shot by protesters.
However, the location is several miles from Ferguson.
Police are investigating the scene of the shooting.
Crews are on the scene in a neighborhood.
