CNN host Anderson Cooper said the Senate Intelligence Committee’s report on torture sounded less like something America would do and more like something out of the handbook of Adolf Hitler or Pol Pot.
“It is shocking … when you read this, if you envision Nazis doing this, and I even hate to say this, if you envision the Khmer Rouge doing this … you can imagine it,” Cooper said Tuesday on “Anderson Cooper 360.” “It’s not that far removed from stuff they [Nazis] were doing.” Cooper cited grisly medical forced feedings and waterboarding as some of the examples of this behavior.
CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin agreed.
The Nazis murdered over 3 million people at their extermination camps.
