Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber testified before the House Oversight Committee today. The MIT economist was questioned on his controversial statements that Democrats lied to “stupid” Americans to pass Obamacare.
On Tuesday Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) used Forrest Gump as an example when questioning Gruber about his previous statements.
“The night before last I was at the Kennedy Center Honors where they honored Tom Hanks, famously Forrest Gump. The ultimate in successful stupid man. Are you stupid?… Does MIT employ stupid people?… OK, so you’re a smart man who, as the ranking member said, some really stupid things.”
