City Forces Ontario Family To Dismantle Ice Rink

Screen Shot 2015-01-18 at 4.51.39 AMOfficials in the town of Cornwell, Ontario have ordered the dismantling of an ice rink that a family built on their own property. According to city bylaws, no structures can be built within 20 feet of the road. The plywood boards that border and contain the ice rink apparently qualify as a “structure.”

The rink attracted neighborhood children, giving them a safe place to play, and under supervision of parents and others.
