Wasserman Tries to Defend the Dearth of Dem Candidates, Spins Broad GOP Field as “Clown Car of Candidates”
The chair of the Democratic National Committee blasted the potential Republican presidential contenders as “a clown car of candidates.”
In a taping of WFAA’s Inside Texas Politics to be broadcast Sunday at 9 a.m. on Channel 8, U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Florida) was asked why the Democratic bench is so thin compared to the longer list of Republicans interested in running for the White House.
“I wouldn’t say the Republicans have much to write home about [regarding] their bench,” Wasserman Schultz told WFAA. “They have a clown car of candidates — potential candidates for president of the United States — from Ted Cruz, who was willing to shut the government down and led the charge to do so in the name of denying people access to health care costing our economy $24 billion; to Marco Rubio, who had so much courage and commitment to comprehensive immigration reform that he walked away from his own plan at the slightest pressure from his tea party base.”…
…”We see an opportunity with any of the circus tent of candidates who are offering themselves on the other side, because they are all essentially the same,” she said. “They all have focused on taking care of the wealthiest, most fortunate Americans.“
Of course, Republicans represent the Middle Class in America today by a two-to-one margin over the Socialist Democrats – But since when did facts matter to Wasserman Schultz.
After all, she’s not known for her honesty.
Meanwhile, the Democrats have Hillary Clinton – a serial liar.
