Apologies in advance for the unedited profanity in this article, but it cannot be edited from the original tweets which are essential to this report.

Hollywood liberal Rose McGowan whose acting career peaked last decade with her five-year run on the TV series Charmed, lashed out at Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas on Saturday over a faked comment regarding Josh Duggar.

Duggar, a ‘family values’ advocate, recently admitted ‘wrongdoing’ over reports he molested several children, including his sisters, when he was a teenager.

McGowan posted a graphic to her verified Twitter account–without realizing it was from a political satire site–that featured a photo of Cruz standing alongside Duggar below a made up statement from Cruz that falsely has Cruz defending Duggar, “While there may have been an age difference, Josh Duggar’s transgressions are far less an affront to God than what gays do with each other.”-Ted Cruz 5/22/15”

(Debunking details at Snopes. H/t Twitchy.)

McGowan made clear she took the false statement as factual by adding her own profane, hateful commentary to the graphic when she posted it to Twitter:

“You are blight on the soul of humanity. Get off of my planet. #TedCruz #fuckwits #rapists #criminals”

Early Sunday morning McGowan responded with profanity to one of many on Twitter who informed her that the Cruz quote was false.

“I could give a fuck RT @FlyoverCulture: @rosemcgowan THe “quote” you cited is a fraud. Check Snopes. #WaitingForApology”

Awhile later McGowan apologized, but continued cursing conservatives.

“I’m sorry I said #TedCruz liked child molesters. Ok? No go back to hating gays. Fuckwits.”

As for the risk to her struggling career from alienating the buying public, McGowan shrugged it off saying:

“Why can’t I upset the public? They upset me.”

McGowan’s stance against rapists does not extend to accused rapist and sexual predator former President Bill Clinton. The jet-setting McGowan participated in Clinton Foundation events in Monaco on May 23, 2012 and in Los Angeles on March 17, 2011.

McGowan, who is an LGBT, etc., activist fell afoul of the gay mafia in 2014 for criticizing gay male culture for misogyny and failing to support feminism. McGowan quickly issued a qualified apology sans profanity.

McGowan falling for a fake Internet meme is not surprising. In 2011 she sold her Hollywood dream home because she thought the house was causing her severe allergic reactions.

McGowan sold the house after having spent $17,000 trying to clean the ventilation system to no avail, according to a report in Variety.

It was only after selling her dream house and moving in to a new house that McGowan realized that she was allergic to her down pillows—and not her dream house.

The UK Daily Mail quoted McGowan on the fiasco:

“I went to the new house, which I loathe, because I had to go somewhere, because I couldn’t take it anymore. ‘And it happened again. It turns out I’m allergic to down.”

McGowan isn’t entirely dim. She told The Wrap she realized Hollywood was mainly interested in her for sex appeal after she appeared nearly naked and heavily airbrushed on the cover of Rolling Stone in 2007 to promote the film Grindhouse. Since then she has focused mainly on directing.
