ISIS released its first video from the ancient city of Palmyra on Tuesday.
The Islamic State now controls 50% of Syria.
Palmyra is mentioned in the Hebrew Bible and in the annals of the Assyrian kings. The historic Roman city was subjected to wide scale looting and damaged by the clashes during the Syrian civil war.
The video shows several ruins from the ancient Roman city.
ISIS claims the war spoils they captured in Palmyra is enough to keep them armed for 4 months.
