New York City Police Officer Brian Moore is reportedly in an induced coma after being shot in the head yesterday by ex-con Demetrius Blackwell.
Officer Moore is fighting for his life.

Moore was shot in the head after stopping to question a man in Queens.

Steve Bognar reports on Twitter that NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton said the wounded officer, Brian Moore, twenty-five years old, is still in surgery.
Bratton identified the suspect in custody as thirty-five year old Demetrius Blackwell.

Cardillo added Blackwell served seven years for attempted murder and was released in 2008.
