Breaking: Las Vegas Police Officer Shot – One Suspect Captured, Bit By Dog – Second Suspect on the Run

A Las Vegas police officer was shot early this morning.

The police officer was shot in the leg and underwent surgery this morning.

One suspect was arrested and was bitten by a dog.
13 Action News reported:

A police officer was shot early Friday morning near South Rainbow Boulevard and Alta Drive.

The incident began shortly before 4 a.m. in the 6700 block of Oveja Circle. Police officers were responding to a burglary call when they encountered the suspects in the backyard.

Police say they have one suspect in custody, but another person is still on the run. He was described by a police spokesperson as a black male, slender in build, approximately 6-feet 2-inches tall, and wearing basketball shorts, but no shirt. Police say he has a closely-cropped hair.

The suspect may be armed although officers have recovered weapons in the area of the incident.

The suspect who was arrested was bitten by a dog.That suspect’s exact condition is unknown.
