Donald Trump went on FOX and Friends Weekend on Saturday to talk about Rick Perry’s announcement that he was dropping out of the 2016 race.
A frustrated Governor Perry lashed out at Donald Trump as he exited the race.
Donald Trump said he was surprised at Perry’s anger.
“I knew Rick prior to his getting really nasty to me. He did get very nasty and I responded accordingly. But, he’s a really terrific guy, a terrific person. I was really surprised to see what took place frankly. And he gave a major speech in Washington about me. And I don’t know if I was honored or if I was insulted. But I fully understand what he was saying. And he did say ‘he or she’ so he’s probably referring to Carly, not me. I knew him so well and I was surprised that he became quite angry.“
