Comcast notified cable customers in Southside Chicago the company would not send out a technician to the area because of the violent crime in the area.
CBS Local reported:

Complaints about cable companies are legendary, but an online rant against Comcast on Wednesday got a response, and revealed a little more about the company’s practices.

Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Michael Pfleger took to Facebook to complain Comcast had told St. Sabina Church it could not send a technician out to fix Internet service at their employment center, because of violent crime in the neighborhood.

A Supervisor at Comcast just informed us that they couldn't send their technician to repair our internet service today because our area has too much violence…..ARE YOU KIDDING ME?????? Oh Hell No!!!!!!!

The post was shared hundreds of times, and five hours later, Pfleger posted that Comcast showed up after his complaint drew attention from social media and news media.

After the massive uproar on social media the company sent down a technician to look at radical Father Pfleger’s internet.

Well guess what after Facebook goes off and calls and media respond…SUDDENLY, calls from Comcast come and two…
