It’s pretty clear at this point that if Hillary Clinton becomes president, she’s going to come after the guns of law abiding citizens. She keeps coming back to the issue.

Hillary Clinton Calls for Gun Control in New Ad
Hillary Clinton’s campaign is releasing a new ad on Tuesday that focuses on the effort to reduce gun violence, an issue the Democratic frontrunner has made central to the nominating contest.
The entire ad features Clinton speaking at a town hall meeting and calling for gun control measures.
“This epidemic of gun violence knows no boundaries. Between 88 and 92 people a day are killed by guns,” Clinton says in the ad. “We need to close the loopholes and support universal background checks. How many people have to die before we actually act?”

The perennial “national conversation” about guns is predictably stale because its contestants—those favoring a largely unfettered right to personal gun ownership and those opposing it—are talking past each other. Prevarication characterizes the debate, as each side adheres to a core principle that, for reasons of propriety and political calculation, it is unwilling to admit publicly.
