NEW VIDEO From MN Black Lives Matter Shooting Shows Black Protesters SUCKER PUNCH White Videographer

The shooting last night of five Black men at a Minneapolis Black Lives Matter protest near the Justice for Jamar Clark encampment at the police’s Fourth Precinct has garnered national attention.

Protesters alleged they were shot by three “white supremacists” for no reason. The wounded men reportedly all suffered “non-critical” wounds according to the police.

A video reported earlier on Tuesday by The Gateway Pundit shows two Black Lives Matter eyewitnesses to the attack describe the three “white men” as being repeatedly attacked by the protesters, retreating several times before finally pulling guns and wounding five of the attackers who had chased them a block away from the protest site.

A new video has been found online that discredits the assertion by protest organizers that the three “white men” were the aggressors.

““I am obviously appalled that white supremacists would open fire on nonviolent, peaceful protesters,” said Nekima Levy-Pounds, president of the Minneapolis chapter of the NAACP, who returned to the site after the shootings.”

…”Miski Noor, a media contact for Black Lives Matter, said “a group of white supremacists showed up at the protest, as they have done most nights.””

…”When about a dozen protesters attempted to herd the group away from the area, Noor said, they “opened fire on about six protesters,” hitting five of them. Jaehnert said she heard four gunshots.”

The video shows two men (and the one recording the video) walking up the sidewalk across the street from the encampment and staying there. They did not cross the street to interact with the protesters. The person taking video pans up and down the street filming the protest but does not zoom in.

One of the two “white men” seen on the video is carrying a case by a handle, matching a description given to the Minneapolis Star Tribune by a Black Lives Matter protester.

“Carrie Brown, Martin’s cousin, lives down the street from the precinct house and said she and others were cooking dinner for the protesters when “these four white guys walked up … They had masks and they had a briefcase. I thought they were there to donate [something].””

(No witnesses in the Star Tribune article mentions any violence on behalf of the protesters. Also, varying reports of three or four men have been made with most saying three. Only three men are seen in the new video.)

After the three men mill about for two minutes, a gang of protesters is seen crossing the street and aggressively challenging the men. More and more people cross the street until an angry mob is formed.

The man filming is seen being sucker-punched by one of the Black Lives Matter protesters (about 3:50) and steps back. Another man, it could be one of the three or a protester, steps in between trying to keep the peace as the mob focuses on the man filming. The peacemaker’s efforts fail. At the 5:10 mark more punches are thrown by the protesters at the man filming. The three men try to retreat down the sidewalk and around a corner but are followed by the angry Black Lives Matter mob.

The six-minute seven-second video ends before the shooting. The video was given to Minneapolis radio station KTLK-AM 1130 by a listener the station did not name. The station noted the video was presented without audio.

Text of statement by KTLK:

“This is video that was sent to me (Andrew) from a listener, and it is alleged to have been taken from someone involved in last night’s shooting. No audio was on the video when I received it.

NOTE: NO AUDIO TRACK ON VIDEO. ALSO, VIDEO ENDS AT 5:42 but continues ‘black screen’ until 6:07)

The earlier video featuring eyewitnesses from the other side, with audio, begins with a view from across the street showing the Black Lives Matter mob forming around the three ‘white men’. The person taking the video is seen being ordered to stop recording and they comply. The video picks up after the shooting with the two eyewitnesses describing how the three “white men” were repeatedly attacked and chased, even though they made gestures indicating they were armed, until they finally shot the pursuing Black Lives Matter protesters.

Minneapolis Police announced on Tuesday, via Twitter, the arrests of two of the “white men” suspected in the shootings. One of those arrested was described as “Hispanic”, however he was later released after it was determined he was not at the scene.

It was then announced later in the day that two additional white men had been arrested. Police reported that both of the white men had turned themselves in.

A total of three white men are now in custody for the shooting according to police.

“MPD arrest 23y/o white male in Bloomington related to last night’s shooting near 4th PCT. Addl’ suspects sought. Info call 612-692-TIPS.”

“2nd suspect in shooting near 4th PCT arrested in S Mpls at 1205pm. 32y/o Hispanic male. Search for addl’ suspects continues.”

“Man arrested in S MPLS related to 4th pct shooting released. Not at scene. Two white men, ages 26 & 21 in custody: turned themselves in.”
